The ‘Housing Crisis’ in the UK constitutes the massive shortage of units being generated across the UK since the 1980’s, and particularly the Southeast of the UK including London. 345,000 new homes are required to be built annually to allow for demand, without effectively eating into the 3.5 million unit backlog. By contrast, in 2021 approximately 121,630 units were built, and 147,180 the year before in 2020. This accumulated structural deficit puts positive upward pressure on prices and continually bolsters market demand. We intend to help fulfil this requirement nationally with large scale projects and also in that process bolster the number of units available for social housing.
Rokaman Strategy
We create a specific strategy for every investment opportunity, putting in place the most appropriate corporate and capital structures. Rokaman’s open organisation, together with expertise we have built up in key areas enables us to achieve a balance of speed and rigour.
Rokaman Investment
Rokaman enables evaluation of Responsible Investment outcomes via identification of the business case, focused on building long-term success considering economic, environmental and/or social cost-benefit analysis and impact.
Socio-Economic Climate
Additional to our primary activity of developing affordable residential units around London and the Home Counties, we have identified the types of housing required for the categories of those in need: veterans, ex-prisoners, domestic violence, underprivileged and the homeless. Rokaman seeks to provide purpose-built accommodation and social housing with an infrastructure to help combat homelessness and underlying socio-economic issues in the UK. We will provide a full maintenance team on-site with transport along with what we deem essential services: GP surgery, dentist, training centres.
Rokaman Invitation
A meeting is integral to the success of any construction project. It enables the team to meet face-to-face and provides the opportunity to clarify the pending construction works.
